This Father’s Day, Acland Street transforms into a motor lover’s dream—think dazzling rows of classic cars, hot rods, street machines, drag machines and bikes—from Shakespeare Grove through O’Donnell Gardens right to Luna Park’s forecourt.

The 12th annual edition, brought to you by Showcars Melbourne and the Acland St Traders Association, is a totally free public event showcasing over 900 pristine vehicles and a massive movie-car display.

Family Fun & Live Entertainment

Enjoy live music, DJs, bands, carnival rides, free face painting, dodgem cars, giveaways, and drag-car fire-ups (live demonstrations with engines revving all day long) to keep everyone entertained. Awards will be handed out for Best Cars & Bikes in a special presentation, adding extra excitement to the street festival.

St Kilda on Your Doorstep

With Acland Street closed to traffic for the event, it becomes a pedestrian wonderland full of classic cars and culinary delights. After checking out the rides and entertainment, stroll to the precinct’s best cafes and restaurants (or check out what’s on offer in advance on our directory here) or pop into Luna Park for more thrills. It’s the perfect combo of motor show and Melbourne beachside vibes.
